And chapter 47 is out. You really are too nice, Liu Bei… To note a minor difference from the original novel, Zhang Fei is outraged by the fact that Lu Bu calls Liu Bei as his “younger brother” at the end of this chapter.
Chapter 48 is out, detailing a rather different and quite shortened version of the Li Jue/Guo Si affair. But I think Yokoyama’s trimmed version is actually pretty good (maybe I’m just being biased).
Chapter 49 is now out.
To go a little off-topic, I have finals coming up this weekend so don’t expect too many chapters this week.

Hell yeah Cao Cao!How do you pronounce Cao Cao anyway?Is it like cow cow?That is what i had been calling him.
I believe it’s pronounced Sou Sou. That’s what I thought his name actually was for a while until I saw it written for the first time.
at wiki, it says it’s pronounced Ts’ao Ts’ao. so it’s like fighTS and OWW that hurts together.
Tsao Tsao is the correct Chinese pronounciation.
Sou Sou is the Japanese pronounciation.
Pinyin looks nice but sucks to accurately tell how names are pronounced. I shat bricks when I found out Sun Quan is read Sun Chuen.
For pronunciation of any of the character and place names (in Mandarin), look up the pinyin + tones on wikipedia, e.g.

There may be better sites out there, I just found these two on google right now and tested a few syllables and they sound OK.
If you don’t know pinyin, the symbols for tones go over the romanized syllables and look like:
1st tone = horizontal line
2nd tone = rising line like /
3rd tone = checkmark like v
4th tone = falling line like \
neutral tone = nothing
Though if you think about it, the people of the time were speaking early Middle Chinese, which had a totally different phonology (it would probably be worth researching this more). Thus the above is more so you can talk to Chinese people who’ve read the books in present times without sounding silly, rather than have any kind of historically accurate pronunciation of names and places.
Thanks for that, I have to admit I have little clue as to how to pronounce their names most of the time.
The one that threw me off for a long time was Lü Bu, because what are diacritics doing in my romanization.

Sun is not pronounced like the hot sun in english, it’s more like Sw-uh-n (in one syllable). and its chinese character is the same as ‘Son’ in ‘Son Goku’ (dragonball duh

60 volumes. Yes, you heard me correctly. The length is expected if you see just how long the original novel is (wikipedia says 800,000 words). I hope the length doesn’t scare away too many people though. It’s quite an entertaining read all throughout with good pacing in my opinion.

I tried liking this manga i read it, but i still dont like it much, it dont leave me the sensation i wanna read it more, and that 60 volume is fearsome, when you look at a character it looks alike to another,

Don’t worry, you don’t come off as a troll. Your enjoyment of this manga is not something I can even argue against because that is something personal. There are definitely many stories that I can reluctantly acknowledge as being good despite not enjoying it myself as well. So it’s perfectly fine if people say that they don’t find Sangokushi interesting. And despite being a big Yokoyama fan, even I can admit that the art is plain looking for the most part (something that I’ve actually grown to love).
What I would be bothered by is if someone were to say that Sangokushi is a bad manga overall, or that it’s poor adaptation of the original novel “Romance of the Three Kingdoms.”
There is a GOOD REASON why the RotK tale has remained so popular for essentially around a 1000 years (not sure how far back the oral telling of the tale goes) and I do strongly believe that Sangokushi retains the elements that made the original novel enjoy such long-lasting popularity.
