Caught up to Latest Release (will work on these as soon as new chapters are out unless specified otherwise)

Historie
—————————————————————————————————–
Mirai Nikki
—————————————————————————————————–
Gambling Emperor Zero (Zero is currently on HIATUS by Fukumoto since he’s busy working on Kaiji part 4)
—————————————————————————————————–
Vinland Saga (After seeing how November’s chapter release went, what with Binktopia’s delay and /a/ releasing a chapter with honorifics, I’ve decided to pick it back up.)
—————————————————————————————————–
Waters (caught up to latest available raw online)

========================================================

Currently Catching Up

High Priority
Noramimi (will work as soon as I obtain raws, hopefully not too far in the future)
Legend of the Strongest Man, Kurosawa
Sangokushi (Currently working at 1volume/month pace but I’ll probably do another rush sometime in 2011.)
—————————————————————————————————–
Medium Priority

Takemitsu Zamurai (I’ve heard that Volume 8, which isn’t out yet, is supposedly the last volume. So once that comes out, I’ll buy the rest of the volumes and finish scanlating it. Unless someone is generous enough to scan it for me?)

Goodnight Punpun (Same deal with Noramimi, but feel free to send scans if you so happen to have’em)
—————————————————————————————————–
Low Priority
Cromartie High School (don’t expect any releases for a long long time)
========================================================

Dropped
Litchi Hikari Club (delays caused by lack of raws)
You could also consider Cromartie as virtually dropped since it’s gonna be a long while until I get around to it.

========================================================

Some other things to note. If you are a scanlator who is interested in a project that I’m doing and you believe I’m “slacking off,” by all means, feel free to do them! I have NO RIGHT to claim something as silly as “scanlation rights.” There’s a lot of manga out there and I won’t take offense at all if you pick up any of my ongoing projects.

For stuff like Punpun and Takemitsu, delays are caused by me taking a long time into getting around to actually buying the volumes and scanning them. So you can either get scans and start translating them yourself (or if you feel generous, send them over to me and I’ll get working on them right away).

    So when you gonna to translate sum moar of dat Gamblan Empror Zero? I’m totally oblivious to the fact that Fukumoto put it on hiatus to work on Kaiji.

  2. Kaiji says:

    Hey man, you gonna get to work on zero anytime soon?

  3. merelyAnonymous says:

    In what schedule do the raws for Historie come out? I wish they were faster.

    Hi,

    Really appreciate your work on Zero, and I think PunPun is fantastic. Here’s hoping Volume 6 finds its way to you!

    I’m looking for someone to help with scanlating this historical manga by a studio Ghibli manga artist:
    http://www.jcafe24.net/index.php?topic=15991.0

    If you would be willing to translate, I’ll do the typesetting, cleaning &c.

    I realize you’re busy (as am I), but I would really like to see this scanlated, even if it is and always will be incomplete. Let me know if you’re interested.

  8. Anybody says:

    Hox you should pick up Kurosawa ;_;

  9. Callie says:

    Thank you very much indeed for your wonderful taste in scanning manga! Seinen is my favourite demographic!

    I was just wondering, are requests possible? If so, would you consider doing Munakata Kyouji Dekikou (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=16731) and its sequel?
    I can find you the raws, should you be interested.

    However, if requests aren’t allowed, I’m terribly sorry for bothering you, and please forget about it, ’cause I won’t bother you again!

    Thanks again for all the effort you put into this – I really appreciate it!

  10. frooby says:

    thanks for your hard work! I love your website and way of distributing your scanlations, so convenient for us.

  11. Unonymous says:

    Thanks for your great taste in historical manga. I’d really love to see more of The Children’s Crusade if it’s out there. Also EvoDevo is the future of biology!

  12. Adamxx says:

It is quite diffcult to find great manga in this time of century or even so the the god one never seems to come acrossedue to lack of populartiy, so for that thank you Hox for historie and vinland saga..and hope that you find similar serie in the near future for our manga readers.

    you can also check out the anime, but it stopped unfinshed at the 10 volumen
    the manga is 19 volumen and completed:

    thanks again hox

  14. Hox says:

    @X:

    I really enjoyed watching the anime, but I’m sorry to say that there are other manga (with no anime adaptation) that I want to bring to english-speaking manga fans first before that. So no.

  15. Utube says:

    I know it to much to ask how– especially now, but I was wondering if you could take a look at this manga called Jin it about a daoctor that as a result of a strange encounter with a mysterious carcinogenic fetus he found inside a patient’s skull, as has slipped back through time. Equipped with modern medical knowledge, he faces various fatal diseases and injuries. Then, he meets the ordinary people of Edo as well as illustrious figures, and his surgical knife carves out a new history and story of life

    the summery is taken form baka updates and the manga is 18 and must of it already scanned at HQ at mangahelpers…just hoping you might find interessting enough for you to consider taking it up ..in the near future couse tx again Hox

  16. Hox says:

    @Utube:

    I’ve already heard of Jin but two things make it unlikely that I’ll pick it up which are the length and the fact that it has a fairly good j-drama adaptation. I tend to not do manga which have already been decently adapted by an anime/drama/etc since there are other unknown manga that I’d rather bring to light.

  17. Beingone says:

    Hox apologies at first hand, if requests are not allowed to be posted here, But I can’t not resiste asking you if you by any chance in the future..could pick a manga by the name : A Night of a Thousand Dreams it 11v complet — and the gruppe that worked on it only manged to finish up to 3v…

    Thx again for historie – great fan of your work and hope you the best with Sangokushi

  18. Hox says:

    @Beingone:

    Sorry but I can’t find any raws for it.

  19. dito says:

    sun-ken rock please~!!! if possible i think it was dropped….idk maybe im being impatient

  20. shishi says:

    Hello! I’m sorry if my english is not very good. I’m from latino america
    and I love your work. Inio Asano is one of my favourite mangakas and
    Oyasumi Punpun is the best! Thank you for the translation of this wonderful manga and I hope that the chapters don’t take too much time in go out.

    Bai bai! : 3

    woah, Looks like Kotonoha just croaked…

    http://iitran.secchan.net/img/res/4213.html

    I was looking forward to reading more of Soil, Ressentiment and Hour of the Mice, but it doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen anytime soon…

    are you planning on picking off any of those titles (esp. Soil? that series is like that freaking LOST show, a lot of mysteries and still no explanations)

    ps. are you game for translating more Kago works? I’ve got tons of raws sitting on my hard drive, and it hurts my brain trying to make any sense of those stories! (actually, even if you translated them they still wouldn’t make any sense…)
    ;)

  22. Nethandle says:

    @the clientele

    Uhh, the date on that post says 09/05/13. I highly doubt that it is relevant to why Kotonoha’s site is down right now.
